COR-TEN, known as weather-resistant steel, offers a robust solution to combat rust, which is a common challenge faced by conventional steel. When left exposed to the atmosphere without protective coatings, Corten steel naturally undergoes rust formation, much like ordinary steel. However, the alloying elements in COR-TEN facilitate the rapid development of a protective surface layer comprising finely-textured rust, effectively suppressing corrosion.
