BS 1501:430 is a British Standard specification governing carbon and carbon manganese steel plates intended for use in pressure vessels and boilers within power plants. This standard, which delineates specifications for specific grades suitable for the fabrication of pressure vessel and boiler equipment, has been replaced by the Euro Norm standard EN 10028. Within BS 1501:430, there are two types: Type A, indicating specified minimum room temperature tensile properties, and Type B, which aligns with Type A but includes elevated temperature properties.
